The Memorial Library
A reference library holding books, research papers, journals, and dictionaries on linguistics, literature, and North-East Indian ethnology.
The Tabu Ram Taid Memorial Library is a dedicated space for students, researchers, linguists, and cultural historians. Located alongside the museum at Gogamukh, it is designed to facilitate advanced study into the languages and cultures of North-East India.

- Linguistic Archives: An extensive collection of books on applied linguistics, phonology, and grammar, reflecting Late Tabu Ram Taid’s academic pursuits in the UK and India.
- Mising Literature & Agom Kebang Publications: Comprehensive collections of journals, newsletters, and creative writing published by the Mising Agom Kebang (Mising Sahitya Sabha) and other literary groups.
- Assamese & North-East Heritage: Rare books and history volumes detailing the social history, folklore, and anthropological evolution of the diverse ethnic groups of Assam and neighboring states.
- Personal Collection of Late Tabu Ram Taid: The scholar’s personal collection of reference materials, notes, and inscribed books, offering a window into his intellectual journey.

Who can access the reference library's collections?
The library is a public reference archive open to students, teachers, linguists, and researchers. There is no entry fee, but all researchers must register at the reception desk upon entry.
Can books or manuscripts be checked out of the library?
No, the Memorial Library is strictly a reference-only library. Books, journals, and rare manuscripts cannot be checked out or taken home. They must be read within the reading hall.

The collections primarily focus on Tibeto-Burman linguistics, Mising grammar and literature, folklore of North-East India, and the socio-cultural histories of Assam.
